Casting for the World of Warcraft movie is heating up and we have details on two actors who might be joining the project! After years of waiting, the popular Blizzard video game, World of Warcraft, is finally on it’s way to the big screen with Source Code director, Duncan Jones set to direct, and today we are learning from Deadline that Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocols Paula Patton and Phone Booths, Colin Farrell may be close to landing the leading roles in the project. Deadlines sources are saying that Paula is still in negotiations, and that Colin has been offered a role, but that there is still a 50/50 chance that he wont take it. Jones is apparently also still auditioning for the role that was offered to Colin, in the event that he does decide to pass on it. But one way or another, we anticipate getting confirmation here pretty soon, because production for Warcraft is scheduled to begin in January. World of Warcraft is a role-playing game that’s set in a medieval-like era, and players take on heroic fantasy characters in a virtual world that is full of magic and mystery. Details of the script, which was written by Blood Diamonds Charles Leavitt, are being kept under wraps, but we have heard several reports that the movie will feature time travel and alien worlds. So, are there any Warcraft fans out there who want to see Colin Farrell and Paula Patton bring one of your favorite video games to life? Sound off below, or over on our Twitter page at ClevverMovies.
