Video Game properties are becoming all the rage in Hollywood, and we have another game that is headed to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros is currently in negotiations to adapt the 2011 mobile game, Temple Run, into a new movie that will be produced by Harry Potters producer, David Heyman. Temple Run was developed by Imangi Studios, and a sequel to the game was just released earlier this year, both of which were huge successes. Several spinoff versions of the game have also been released that have involved characters from Pixar and Disney’s Brave and Oz The Great and Powerful. But the story for the film is said to center on an explorer who is being chased by demonic forces, because he has stolen an idol from a temple. David Heyman is kind of a big deal, and having him attached to this project definitely leads us to believe that Temple Run would do extremely well at the box office. Heymans track record includes producing all eight of the Harry Potter films and he also produced this years sci-fi drama Gravity which has already brought in $475 million worldwide. There is also some talk that he is considering jumping on board to produce JK Rowling’s new franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. So, what do we think about Temple Run the movie?
